Proposals have to be one of my favorite things to shoot. To see the emotion when the question is popped, is by far a highlight of this job. This day was extra special.
If you know me, you know that I am high anxiety. Driving in snow is not something I long to do on any old day. Jessica had reached out to me a little while back prior to their trip to Colorado, and booked this couples session! We had full plans to head to Sapphire Point in Breckenridge for some gorgeous photos. Of course, day of, it is calling for snow! I had every urge to relocate this somewhere closer to Denver, but I am SO glad we didn’t.
Joey had messaged me the night before the shoot to let me know that he was planning to propose during the session. I knew then that we HAD to make this happen to matter what the weather called for. After a little bit of slush and a few mountain goat crossings, we made it to Breckenridge for this epic, snowy proposal.
At the start of the session, we could see the mountains and by the end, we were in a full snow globe. It made for the most magical shots, and the most magical moment for these two as they embark on this new journey together. I could not have been more honored to capture this moment for them. Snow and all!
These photos are amazing! How special 🙂 You are gifted.
