This session felt like coming home to me. One, because I lived in Florida for 4 years before moving to Colorado, and these two are from the same little town I lived in! It felt so good to be able to relate to someone since moving. While we don’t have a ton of friends yet, it’s always good to make small connections with people. I’m so glad I’m in a people business where it makes meeting sweet people that much easier!

It also felt like home because this is the most “me” that a session has ever felt. I have always loved the filmy style of editing. It has been the type of edits that speak to my soul deep. Whenever I throw a film edit on a photo, it just tugs at my heart strings. For a while, I avoided editing this way in fear that no one would resonate with it the way I do. But ya know what? Screw it! Here we are + I couldn’t be more in love with these photos. I know I will attract my people by staying true to what I love.
